This part used <partinfo>BBa_E0034</partinfo> EYFP which showed much weaker fluorescent activity than e.g. the newer <partinfo>BBa_K592101</partinfo> YFP. As a result, this part and its design is not very good for testing promoter strength. Recommend using stronger fluorescent proteins as reporters.

This part used <partinfo>BBa_E0034</partinfo> EYFP. However, in our experiments we used the newer <partinfo>BBa_K592101</partinfo> YFP which had been codon optimized for expression in yeast. It also works well in E.coli. As a result, parts with BBa_K592101 show higher fluorescent activity when measured, probably due to better expression.

iGEM2011_Uppsala-Sweden

This part used BBa_E0034 EYFP. However, in our experiments we used the newer BBa_K592101 YFP which had been codon optimized for expression in yeast. It also works well in E.coli. As a result, parts with BBa_K592101 show higher fluorescent activity when measured, probably due to better expression.
