This part consisted  of BBa_F2620, a promoter recognizing AHL, coupled with a custom-designed sRNA (sRNA1) that binds to the RSID and RBS from BBa_K353002, inhibiting the production of GFP.  This part was tested with BBa_K2353002 and characterized on plasmid 1C3 in BW27783 cells.  Cells were initially incubated with L-arabinose at the concentrations (%) shown in the legend.  Twenty microliters of 10mg/mL AHL (213.2 MW) was added to the plate reader at time, t=0.  GFP fluorescence data was collected on a plate reader for two hours every thirteen minutes and is shown in the graph below.  As can be seen, addition of AHL to the BW cells does, in fact, seem to downregulate the fluorescence and consequently, functional GFP output
