Asaia replication origin

This sequence was obtain by making a PCR form the GFP plasmid of a straight of Asaia containing this plasmid. This strain has been provided to us by the team of Prof. Guido Favia from Dipartimento di Medicina Sperimentale e Sanità Pubblica, Università degli Studi di Camerino, 62032 Camerino, Italy.

Asaia is a gram negativ bacteria, membre of the family of acetic acid bacterium in the alpha-Proteobacteria.

Asaia is naturally present in the gut of at leats four strand of mosquitos responsible form the transmission of Malaria (Anopheles stephensi, Anopheles gambiae, Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus). The bacteria is transmitted in lateral and vertical way.

This origin of replication works is Asaia and E.Choli. No other bacteria were tested. Sequence and Features
