pL0 Psr1

Phosphate starvation response 1 (Psr1) gene from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. This gene codes for a transcription factor that activates increased phosphate uptake and storage. It is normally expressed under conditions of low phosphate concentration. When expressed constitutively, it should cause high rates of phosphate uptake regardless of phosphate concentrations in the environment.

This part was obtained from the Alison Baker Lab at the University of Leeds, as published in Slocombe et al. (2023).
