Twister P1 + T7_RBS + SAHS 33020 + stem-loop

contributed by Fudan iGEM 2023

Introduction

This composite part is composed of Secretory-abundant heat soluble protein 33020 (SAHS 33020) and improved ribozyme-assisted polycistronic co-expression system:pRAP. SAHS 33020 is a heat-soluble protein in tardigrades that helps them survive tough conditions by forming a protective glass matrix during desiccation. It was tested by iGEM17_TUDelft in BBa_K2306003.

Usage and Biology

We constructed SAHS 33020 into pRAP to endow E. coli with desiccation-resistant capability. And this composite part can cooperate with BBa_K4765113 to increase the survival rate of E.coli under desiccation.
