Design Notes
the kill switch contains YopE mRNA, which is a cytotoxin form Yersinia, and a ribozyme riboswitch. When no target molecule binds to the aptamer sequence, YopE is expressed and kills the cell, whereas the hammerhead ribozyme sequence degrades YopE mRNA.
