This part contains the gene of the amylase-RFP fusion protein.

Usage and Biology

This enzyme hydrolyzes of (1-4)-alpha-D-glycosidic linkages in polysaccharides containing three or more (1-4)-alpha-linked D-glucose units. See details NC_000913.3 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/948088).

In the case of this part, red fluorescence of RFP is observed under the fluorescence microscope, but isn’t observed under natural light.

This part expresses the fuse protein of amylase (from BBa_K523006 (https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K523006) ) and RFP (from BBa_J04450 (https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_J04450) ). We removed the stop codon of amylase and the start codon of RFP and connected the ends.

The RBS is added to this part forming BBa_K4032xx.

The lac promoter, the RBS and the double terminator are added to this part forming BBa_K4032xx.
