sfGFP (Superfolder GFP)

sfGFP (Superfolder GFP) is a green fluorescent protein, which unlike the normal GFP, can retain its fluorescence even when fused with poorly folding proteins, because of its robust folding. So it is often used as a fluorescent tag for large proteins. This part is an E. coli codon-optimized version of BBa_I746916 minus the last two amino acids.

Usage and Biology

This part was included in our OpdA-SpyTag002 construct for easy detection of the fusion protein and also for assaying the binding between this fusion protein and the SpyCatcher002-dCBD fusion protein.
