AmpR promoter + RBS (with one mutation)
This part is the promoter and RBS of the ampicillin resistance gene, AmpR. It contains one mutation, G59T that was introduced fortuitously during PCR amplification. This mutation does not impair the expression of AmpR as deduced by the fact that the capacity of E. coli cells to grow in the presence of ampicillin is not disrupted.
