Characterization
Visualized expression with other subunits
Fig1. The affinity of TbSRPPs for phospholipids depends on the head group and side chain, and influences particle size and distribution
Function Evaluation: (1) Its expression can be upregulated by abiotic stress and promote water-stress tolerance in A. thaliana which indicate its function of abiotic stress resistance.(shown in Fig1) (2) Its intracellular localization in N. benthamiana protoplasts is almost completely the same with TbSRPP2/5. For one thing, after testing its function of stability resistance and assembly with other subunits in lipid droplet, it’s revealed that SRPP4 is essential for rubber particle integrity with SRPP5. For another, TbSRPP3–5 (and TbREF) facilitate the formation of a rubber biosynthesis complex, then TbSRPP4 and TbSRPP2 cooperate to move lipid.
