NSP4 secretion signal peptide
This part codes for a signal peptide, which can be fused to the N-terminus of a polypeptide in order to export the newly synthesised protein out of the cell.
Usage and Biology
The signal peptide 4 (NSP4) was selected because it should improve the secretion of a targeted protein. This peptide is a part of the Sec-dependent secretion pathway which is the one of the principal secretion pathway in E.coli. This NSP4 peptide can be linked with the N-terminus of a recombinant protein and play a role in its secretion. This peptide was choosen by our team to try to export azurin out of our E.coli Nissle 1917 strain.
