AHL inducible expression of KatG
This part produces an E. coli catalase (katG) tagged with an LAA degradation tag upon induction with an acylhomoserine lactone.
Usage and Biology
Using the Caltech iGEM [http://2008.igem.org/Team:Caltech/Protocols/MIC_Assay minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) assay], K137079 in pSB1A2 in SN0037 (ΔkatGΔkatE) was able to increase the MIC of SN0037 as shown below:
