Inositol-3-phosphate Synthase from Arabidopsis thaliana

Inositol-3-phosphate Synthase from Arabidopsis thaliana

Usage and Biology

Inositol-3-phosphate Synthase codes Inositol-3-phosphate, which is the precursor of Inositol. Inositol is an osmoprotectant which contributes to the formation of lipid signalling molecules, it’s also involved in diverse pathways, one of which is salinity stress. Myo-inositol is the most common stereoisomer among the other nine found in nature. We planned to first express osmoprotectant in order to support the cell in salinity stress to overcome such harsh conditions.
