Major T4 Capsid Protein gp24

gp24 is one of the two capsid proteins that make up the T4 bacteriophage capsid. This protein self assembles into 5 subunits, or pentons. These structures interact with the hexamer structures formed with capsid protein gp23 (BBa_K269001). This protein has also been codon optimized for expression in E.coli
