OrganosiliconeRS-geneIII

We present the organosilicon-sensing riboswitch that regulates phage propagation by enhancing organosilicon-depending expression of geneIII that is vital for host cell infection.

Usage and Biology

The upstream riboswitch sequence can be adapted to any organosilicon of interest using the MAWS 2.0 software. So far, variants of this part have been used only for proof-of-principle applications but this part is designed to have a variety of applications in the cytochrome c engineering, for example, the phage-related discontinuous evolution (PREDCEL) approach.

Characterisation of the related part=

The results of the proof-of-concept of the related part are depicted in Fig. 1-3.
