Wild type Pts1
Pex5 is one of two peroxins that mediate protein import into the peroxisomal matrix. Proteins, destined for the peroxisome, are tagged with so called peroxisomal targeting signals. Whilst Pex5 detects the Pts1, Pex 7 detects the Pts2.
We designed a wild type Pts1 to tag proteins of interest for peroxisomal translocation. This Pts1 sequence was taken from Dueber et al. (2016)
