BKT coding sequence fused with Pea transit peptide
This part is consist of a Pea transit peptide and the coding sequence of β-carotene ketolase originally derived from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. β-carotene ketolase realizes the conversion of zeaxanthin to astaxanthin, the final step of astaxanthin biosynthesis. Sequence of β-carotene ketolase has been optimized for better expression in rice (Oryza sativa).
