AmilCP chromoprotein under tetracylcine-repressive promoter.
Bacteria with this device are blue due to the amil CP constitutive expression. This expression turns off if TetR repressor is present and it can be restored by the addition of tetracycline or analogues (as anhydrotetracycline).
