DarR ORF with inversed Pre- and Suffix

This is the ORF of DarR (Ms5346). DarR is a HTH-transcription factor from Mycobacterium smegmatis, which can bind its specific binding sequence (the DarR operator BBa_K1045000).

In M. smegmatis, it was shown that the binding effinciency of DarR to the operator is enhanced by the availability of cyclic di-AMP. When bound to the operator, DarR shuts down transcription of the gene downstream of its operator. This way, transcription is controlled via c-di-AMP (Zhang et al., 2013).
