We grew liquid cultures for 24 hours with varying concentrations of Lead Acetate in the presence of our cells. After growth, the tests were spun down, then resuspended in 1X PBS (Phosphate Buffer Solution). The results were measured in fluorescence per OD 600. As shown with the graph below, our results were inconsistent. We did not incorporate a lead binding protein into our design. Also, we noticed a precipitate starting at the .5 mM concentration.
