hycAp is the promoter of hyc operon (FHL,formate hydrogen lyase) activated by FhlA (Part:BBa K778001, Part:BBa K778002) repressed by hycA (negative feedback)

This biobrick part combined with an appropriate reporter become useful reporter of Hydrogen production.
