Applications of BBa_I742110

A composite LIMS1 part with a Lac promoter has been characterized. For details, please visit this page.

Team TU Munich 2012 used this part for expression of limonenesynthase and added a yeast consensus sequence for improved expression as well as a Strep-Tag for simple purification or detection via western blot. See BBa_K801060. Since the DNA of BBa_I742110 is not available and we submitted our BioBrik BBa_K801060 we improved this part by making limonene synthase physically available in the registry.

BBa_K118025 is based on this part. British Columbia statet on the experience page that they could not detect the expression of Limonene-Synthase or the production of limonene. We report that we were not able to express Limonene-Synthase, but also that we showed its functionality both in vitro and in vivo. See our Biobrick BBa_K801060.
