RBS + renilla luciferase + d.terminator
Luciferase from sea pansy (Renilla reniformis). Renilla luciferase emits light by the oxidation of coelenterazine, its substrate. Luciferase can be used as a measuring tool when combined with other cis-elements (regions regulating the expression of genes on the same DNA molecule; promoters and other protein-binding domains), because of its highly quantitative performance.
Molecular Biology
Renilla luciferase, a monomeric 36,000 Dalton protein, catalyzes coelenterazine oxidation to emit luminescence of around 480nm.
