Constutitive promoter BBa_J23109+MerR

This is a copy of BBa_K346001 under the control of a weak, constitutive promoter, BBa_J23109. As the concentration of Hg(II) was fixed, the proportion of Hg-bound MerR dimers was decided by the expression of merR, which is controlled by the different promoter intensities. So when using LacZ as the reporter, we can observe that the colour change with Hg(II) concentration and varied-intensity constitutive promoters.

Design Notes

This is a copy of BBa_K346001 under the control of a weak, constitutive promoter, BBa_J23109. As the concentration of Hg(II) was fixed, the proportion of Hg-bound MerR dimers was decided by the expression of merR, which is controlled by the different promoter intensities. So when using LacZ as the reporter, we can observe that the colour change with Hg(II) concentration and varied-intensity constitutive promoters.
