Alphafactor-Venus, a secreted chromoprotein

Protein Description

Description

The Alphafactor-venus composite part was used in a larger composite part BBa_K5143027that enables our team to test the transcriptional activity of GAP promoter and to test the secretion of the protein by the alphafactor.

Construction

Alphafactor-Venus is composed of the alphafactor V1 BBa_K5143009 and the venus chromoprotein BBa_K5143015.
Alphafactor-Venus was synthesised and its nucleotide sequence optimised for synthesis and expression in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. In our construction, Alphafactor-Venus is under the control of gap promoter to test its activation (BBa_K4081994).
