hoxU fused with EP

contributed by Fudan iGEM 2023

Introduction

Combine hoxU directly with EP. The hoxU is a subunit of the hydrogenase, check it in BBa_K5115020(hox and hyp operon). EP can direct external proteins into carboxysomes, check it in BBa_K51150002(EP).

Usage and Biology

Binding hoxU with EP can direct the hydrogenase into the carboxysome, creating a safe and stable environment for the enzyme to work.
