Pspac promoter
This promoter can be induced by IPTG and it is tightly regulated by LacI. The wild type lac operator has been replaced with a perfect palindromic "oid" operator sequence which increases the repression by LacI more than 2.5 fold. To repress the promoter LacI needs to be expressed. Addition of IPTG will derepress LacI activity.
BBa_K174004 is an enhancement of Biobrick BBa_K090501 and provides a tighter regulation. BBa_K090501 has the operator sequence from pMUTIN2 with O1 operator. BBa_K143015 and BBa_I746665 Biobricks have also the wild type lac operator.
