This is the response part of the luxR amplifier with the cymA gene as the reporter. In our design, if luxR(△2-162) was expressed as a result of responding, this part can be activated to express cymA and luxR(△2-162). CymA will increase the ability for the Shewanella oneidensis to transfer the electrons, and luxR(△2-162) will functions in a positive feedback loop as it can bind to the PluxI promoter and activate its own transcription.

PluxⅠ-RBS-luxR(△2-162)-RBS-cymA-TT

Uses a factor PluxⅠ(BBa_R0062) ,strong RBS(BBa_J34801), luxR(△2-162)(BBa_K4767000), cymA(BBa_K2706008)and TT(BBa_B0015). This composite part is a BioBrick.

Usage and Biology

This is the response part of the luxR amplifier with the cymA gene as the reporter. In our design, if luxR(△2-162) was expressed as a result of responding, this part can be activated to express cymA and luxR(△2-162). CymA will increase the ability for the Shewanella oneidensis to transfer the electrons, and luxR(△2-162) will functions in a positive feedback loop as it can bind to the PluxⅠ promoter and activate its own transcription.
