AgBP2

Description

Ag(I) affinity values of the biomolecules

AgBP2 is a typical silver-binding peptide consisting of 12 amino acids(EQLGVRKELRGV).

The silver-binding protein AgBP2 was selected from a combinatorial peptide display library and it presents a higher Ag(I) affinity value (Ka= 6.30 ±0.5 x10^7) than many other typical silver-binding proteins, such as Ag4 and AgP35.

AgBP2 captures silver ions and paves the way for a new approach to synthesizing silver nanoparticles(AgNPs).And in our project, AgNPs accelerate extracellular electron transfer.
