OhioState Application
The 2021 OhioState team characterized this biobrick using a Pierce Chromogenic Endotoxin Quantification Kit from ThermoFisher. The results were treated with Limulus Amebocyte Lysate which binds endotoxin and then attached to a chromogenic substrate which allowed us to quantify our results with provided standards. Cultures diluted to the -5 were used to quantify endotoxin concentrations. A control without any anti-lipid A proteins was also used as a comparison. There was a noticeable decrease in bound endotoxin.
