Description
This part contains the CDS for Human Beta Defensin 2 (HBD2) with a 6xHis-tag attached to the C-terminus of the peptide sequence.
Usage
This part contains only the CDS and 6xHis-tag. Stop codon is required at the end of the sequence as it is not included.
Promoter and terminator is required for successful expression, additional secretion signal peptide may be required to successfully express and purify HBD2 from culture.
Design
This part was derived from the gene encoding for Human Beta Defensin 2 (DEFB4). The part sequence has been codon optimized for expression in S. cerevisiae and P. pastoris.
Characterization
Part characterization was performed using the composite part BBa_K3927018 (HB2 with mating factor alpha secretion tag). Please refer to that part page for more details.
