RNA binding Pumby Protein - Motif AUAGAU
This Part is an example of a RNA-binding Pumby Protein, assembled with the Pumby Domains that are specific for the four RNA bases.
Adenine:BBa_K3657000
Guanine:BBa_K3657001
Uracil:BBa_K3657002
Cytosine:BBa_K3657003
Usage and Biology
Pumby Proteins are assembled by combining multiple RNA-base specific RNA binding Domains. They originate from the Pumilio Homology Domain (Drosophila Melanogaster), which is a RNA binding protein, that is made out of 6 repeating subunits containing three alpha helices and two imperfect subunits at the N- and C-Terminus.
