This part was used as part of the Biofabricator ''subtilis'' Imperial iGEM 2008 project. Pveg-spoVG was used to produce an output of GFP or RFP, as well as produce the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase to give resistance to chloramphenicol and allow selection of ''B.subtilis'' containing device <bbpart>BBa_K143079</bbpart> and <bbpart>BBa_K143082</bbpart>.

This part works well. We used this part to promote the expressions of biofilm or spore coat related protein fused by EGFP in Bacillus subtilis cells. The fluorescent measurements showed the constitutive promoter in this part worked better than other promoter that we used.
