Lambda N - KRAB fusion protein
This part is a fusion protein consisting of a viral antiterminal protein lambda N (BBa_K3657014) and a KRAB repressor protein (BBa_K2549055).
Lambda N binds to the BoxB RNA hairpin (BBa_K3657015). In this way the KRAB protein can be attracted to a specific RNA, for example an RNA that forms a triple helix with DNA or a guide RNA of a dCas. If the RNA binds in front of a promoter, this construct will result in repression of the gene of interest.
