Coding Sequence of CBD (Cellulose Binding Domain)

Most cellulolytic complexes consist of catalytic domains (Cellulases) and Cellulose-Binding Domains (CBDs).

The binding domain improves the attachment of the enzyme to the substrate and facilitates the catalytic domain activity. Similar binding domain structures can be found in complexes degrading other insoluble carbohydrates such as chitin.
