mCitrine codon optimized for Yarrowia lipolytica
mCitrine coding sequence codon-optimized for Yarrowia lipolytica.
Usage and Biology
mCitrine is a monomeric green fluorescent protein that is derived from Aequorea victoria. mCitrine's optimal excitation wavelength is 515nm and its optimal emission wavelength is 529nm (1). mCitrine could be used to tag components and proteins within the cell which can then be visualized using fluorescence spectroscopy and microscopy. See BBa_K3629026 for a functional high expression construct using this coding sequence.
Design
Below is the codon-optimized sequence of Yarrowia lipolytica mCitrine for use in any expression construct. However, we have also made our own expression construct BBa_K3629026, designed to allow for optimal expression of mCitrine in Yarrowia lipolytica using the TEfin promoter BBa_K3629001 and the XPR2 terminator BBa_K3629004.
