AgrC2 Quorum Sensing Histidine Kinase; C. difficile

Quorum Sensing membrane-bound histidine kinase, shown previously to dimerize and phosphorylate AgrA2 in C. difficile. It is one of the members of the two-component detection system, adapted from C. difficile, that can bind the Autoinducing peptide (AIP), and, in response, transduce signalling to AgrA2.1 This gene is located in C. difficile CD196 genome.
