We transfected plasmids into HepG2 cells: in Figure A, we transfected pCDNA6.2-hTERT-HBsAg-EmGFP-miR-70 alone while in Figure B, we co-transfected pCDNA6.2-hTERT-HBsAg-EmGFP-miR-70 and pCDNA3.1(+)-Hulc-CeR-70 plasmid. The figures showed that the EmGFP brightness significantly increased after we co-transfected the CeR-70 part, demonstrating that Ce-HBsAg-70 worked properly.

Ce-HBsAg-70

Competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) hypothesis describes a complex post-transcriptional regulatory network that includes lncRNA, mRNA, and other types of RNA. They act as natural miRNA sponges that inhibit the function of other RNA by competing for one or more miRNA binding sites. Ce-HBsAg-70 can competingly inhibit miR-HBsAg-70 to allow transcription of HBsAg. It, together with miR-HBsAg-70, helps to form a regulation system.

Usage

Ce-HBsAg-70 is located in the downstream region of the hulc promoter. After specific initiation in tumor cells, the downstream Ce-HBsAg-70 is expressed. Ce-HBsAg-70 can competingly inhibit miR-HBsAg-70 to allow transcription of HBsAg It, together with miR-HBsAg-70, helps to form a regulation system.
