CNS3 is originally found in Cordyceps militaris. It has two domains: NK and HisG. HisG is a domain which can transform adenosine to pentostatin, protecting the cordycepin deaminate by adenosine deaminase. NK is a kinase to synthesize adenosine 3'monophosphate as the raw material of cordycepin.
