capB* - a subunit of poly-γ-glutamic acid synthetase

This part contains the capB gene which encodes a subunit for poly-γ-glutamic acid synthetase. This enzyme is involved in poly-γ-glutamic acid synthesis, which converts the glutamate to poly-γ-glutamic acid. CapB is mainly responsible for catalysing poly-gamma-glutamic acid synthesis. In our subject, we used the mutant of capB gene which calls capB*.
