TEV enzyme cut the TEV cutting site to separate the Cas12a protein from the composition (10X His-MBP-TEV-Cas12a) in our project. It makes Cas12a protein be collected in the solution. Furthermore, the sequence of the TEV cutting site is used by E.coli.

Tobaco Etch Virus (TEV) motif

This sequence encoded the peptide motif that is recognized by Tobaco Etch Virus (TEV) enzyme. TEV motif is used in removed the purification-associated compositions (10XHis and MBP) after Cas12a protein purification.
