Welcome to the iGEM Standard Measurement Page!

This page contains information about various standard measurement approaches for characterizing BioBrick parts so that they will be easier to be re-used by future teams. Our first standard measurement procedure is used to measure the activity of BioBrick promoters (or other PoPS-output devices).

Measure promoters with RPUs

SPU.png RPUs! Measure your promoter in Relative Promoter Units (RPUs) so that your part will be compatible with others in the Registry.

Previously characterized parts

Set of promoters characterized previously with the promoter measurement kit.
