The Pin Tool Replicator must be cleaned before initial use, after final use and inbetween different liquid-to-membrane or liquid-to-liquid transfers**

  • Before liquid to membrane transfer, prepare small trays of VP 110 Pin Cleaning Solution, distilled water (2) and 99% Ethanol the laboratory workbench.
  • Once transfer is finished and the pin tool replicator is lifted off the paper, dip the pins of the replicator three times into the Pin Cleaning Solution tray being careful not to damage the tips of the pins by hitting them to the bottom of the tray.
  • Lift the replicator from the Pin Cleaning Solution tray and blot gently onto a piece of blotting paper.
  • Dip the replicator three times into the first distilled water tray, blotting pins onto a new piece of blotting paper once finished.
  • Dip the replicator three times into the second distilled water tray, blotting again on new blotting paper once finished.
  • Dip the replicator three times into the 99% Ethanol tray, blotting the pins on new blotting paper once finished.
