WRKY intron for plant-targeted RNAi constructs
This part contains the sequence of the WRKYintron, which is commonly used as to separate the sense and anti-sense parts of an RNAi contruct for gene silencing. This has been used many times by plant biologists and is part of the pJawohl8-RNAi binary plasmid.
The WRKYintron is cloned into the the golden gate version of pSB1C3 (P10500) using BsmBI and conforms to the Phytobrick standard. It is flanked by BsaI sites together 5' CCAT and 3' AATG cloning sequences for subsequent cloning into a level 1 plasmid.
This has been used to generate the RNAi constructs detailed in the 2018 Cardiff_Wales Parts page
