This could also be the case for other Eut-proteins such as EutK and EutL, parts from the Manchester 2017 team showed similar behavior to this part in their OD measurement, it would be easy to replicate their measurement.

We have changed the original RBS to the very weak RBS J61100 in order to have a lower base expression level. Additionally we replaced the LacI promoter with the araBad promoter since the LacI is known to be leaky and we wanted to keep the expression of all proteins under more tight control.

We redid the measurement from team Manchester 2017 and found that the EutM and EutN proteins are detrimental for bacteria growth, however we were no able to replicate the drastic decrease in OD after 20 hours. Therefore we propose that the EutN and EutM proteins are toxic to bacteria, but only at high concentrations.
