Anti-STAR is a sequence that Imperial iGEM 2016 have designed for the first time. It is identical to part of the STAR-target attenuator sequence (pAD1.S5) but much shorter in length. When transcribed, it binds to the STAR-antisense RNA (pAD1.A5) with much higher affinity than the STAR-target sequence.
