Medium Anderson / mTaz
BBa_K1909008 is a construct of medium Anderson promoter BBa_K608006, a strong ribosome binding site and the receptor mTaz, part BBa_K1909002, capable of detecting meso-2,6-Diaminopimelic acid (mDAP).
Usage and Biology
The receptor mTaz is based on the chemotaxis receptor Taz, part BBa_C0082, capable of sensing aspartate and in combination with the cytosolic domain of osmosensor kinase EnvZ. The combination of BBa_K608006 and BBa_C0082 is part BBa_K1909011. This combination has a higher expression as BBa_K1909009 and a lower expression as BBa_K1909007.
Functional Parameters
Testing the combination showed that cells grew slowly (for miniprep culture more than 24 hours). We assume that this combination (medium promoter and strong RBS) induces a high expression of the transmembrane receptor.
