Description
Our BLAST analysis revealed 100% identity and an E-value of 3e-63 with a cellulosome anchoring protein of Clostridium cellulovorans. This study enabled us to complete the description of the streptavidin with CBDs part (BBa_K1499004).
BBa_K1934090 contains the coding sequence of CBD2 as a BioBrick part. Be careful, you will need to put this sequence under the control of a promoter, RBS and terminator in order to use it. Moreover, you can easily combine it with the coding sequence of another protein (e.g. streptavidin) via a linker to confer a new property: cellulose-binding activity.
