The entry vector contains a promoter repressible by the TAL14 repressor. pTAL21 consists of one repressible site upstream and four repressible sites downstream of the minimal CMV promoter. (Li et al., 2015) [1] A VP-16 Gal4 protein complex recruits the transcription machinery of the promoter. The TAL14 repressor inhibits the activator and transcription machinery from transcribing the gene downstream of pTAL14.

pENTR Taler14

Entry vector containing the TAL14 repressor gene. TAL14 is an engineered repressor from TAL effectors, amino acids which have corresponding DNA target sites. This particular TAL gene was engineered to repress the DNA sequences found on the pTAL14 promoter.
