We tested the modified version of the part without the signal peptide and with a RBS, but the coding sequence for the mature peptide was identical. We could detect xylan degradation by increased fluorescence ([http://www.lifetechnologies.com/order/catalog/product/E33650 Assay]). In addition we characterized the part in hindsight to its thermostability, for more information see these results. |
